Introduction

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for 1st Banana subscriptions and credit purchases. We strive to provide fair and transparent refund practices.

Platform Information

1st Banana is an independent AI service that deploys and runs open-source AI models. We are not affiliated with any model provider. We process payments through Stripe and other payment processors to provide secure transactions.

Credits as Usage Units

Important: Credits are usage units for consuming our AI generation services. Credits are not a form of currency and have no cash value. Credits cannot be:

  • Redeemed for cash
  • Transferred to other users
  • Exchanged for other products or services
  • Withdrawn or refunded except as specified in this policy

Credits are consumed when you generate images or videos using our AI services.

Subscription Refunds

Monthly Subscriptions

  • Cancellation: Can be cancelled anytime through your billing settings
  • Refund Eligibility: Refunds may be provided if:
    • Service failure prevented usage within first 7 days
    • Duplicate or erroneous charges occurred
    • Technical issues made service unusable
  • Non-Refundable: Partial month refunds are not provided for voluntary cancellations
  • Credits: Unused monthly credits expire at end of billing period

Annual Subscriptions

  • Cancellation: Can be cancelled anytime through your billing settings
  • Refund Eligibility (within 30 days of purchase):
    • Service failure prevented usage
    • Technical issues made service unusable
    • Duplicate or erroneous charges
  • Prorated Refunds: Not available after 30-day period
  • Credits: Annual subscription credits are distributed monthly

Subscription Cancellation Process

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click "Manage Subscription"
  3. Select "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm cancellation
  5. Access continues until end of billing period
  6. No further charges after cancellation

Credit Pack Refunds

One-Time Credit Purchases

  • Refund Window: 30 days from purchase date
  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • Less than 10% of credits used
    • No previous refund requests
    • Valid reason (service issues, technical problems)
  • Non-Refundable After:
    • More than 10% credits consumed
    • More than 30 days since purchase
    • Previous refund granted

Expired Credits

  • Credits have expiration dates displayed at purchase
  • No refunds for expired unused credits
  • Expiration warnings sent via email 7 days before expiration
  • Subscription credits: expire with billing period
  • Purchased credits: expire as stated at purchase (typically 90-365 days)

How to Request a Refund

  2. Order/Transaction ID
  3. Date of purchase
  4. Reason for refund request
  5. Description of any service issues

Processing Timeline

  • Request acknowledged within 24-48 hours
  • Review completed within 5-7 business days
  • Approved refunds processed within 7-10 business days
  • Refund appears in original payment method within 5-10 business days (depending on bank/card issuer)

Refund Methods

  • Refunds issued to original payment method only
  • No cash refunds or transfers to other accounts
  • Credits cannot be converted to refunds after consumption
  • Stripe/payment processor fees may not be refundable

Non-Refundable Situations

Voluntary Cancellations

  • Changed mind after using credits
  • Found alternative service
  • No longer need the service
  • Already consumed credits

Policy Violations

  • Account banned for policy violations
  • Abuse of refund system
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Terms of Service violations

Technical Issues (User-Side)

  • Incompatible device or browser
  • Insufficient internet connection
  • User error or misuse
  • Lack of understanding of service features

Third-Party Issues

  • Payment processor delays
  • Bank or card issuer policies
  • Regional restrictions known at purchase
  • Currency conversion fees

Service Failures and Credits Refunds

Automatic Credit Refunds

Credits are automatically refunded to your account when:

  • Generation task fails due to server error
  • Service outage prevents task completion
  • System error during processing
  • Processing timeout not caused by user

Service Level Commitment

  • 99% uptime target (excluding scheduled maintenance)
  • Scheduled maintenance announced 48 hours in advance
  • Compensation credits for extended outages exceeding 1 hour
  • No compensation for maintenance windows

Special Circumstances

Duplicate Charges

  • Full refund for duplicate transactions
  • Processed immediately upon verification
  • No questions asked

Erroneous Charges

  • Full refund for billing errors
  • Investigation within 24 hours
  • Temporary account credit during investigation

Service Not as Described

  • Refund available within 14 days if:
    • Service features materially different from description
    • Quality significantly below advertised standards
    • Technical limitations not disclosed

Account Issues

  • Refund available if:
    • Account locked due to our error
    • Service access denied due to technical issues
    • Billing problems prevent service usage

Chargebacks and Disputes

If you filed a legitimate chargeback:

  3. Account access restored after resolution

Fair Use Policy

Refund Abuse

We reserve the right to deny refunds and terminate accounts for:

  • Multiple refund requests (pattern of abuse)
  • Consuming most credits then requesting refund
  • Fraudulent refund claims
  • Account sharing or reselling

Good Faith

We process refunds in good faith and expect:

  • Honest communication
  • Legitimate service issues
